DD Porter has successfully completed a major refurbishment project for InHealth Group, transforming two floors of a central Liverpool building into a cutting-edge medical facility. The project, valued at £2.6 million, was carried out over 44 weeks, delivering a modern space designed to enhance patient care and staff efficiency.
Considered private healthcare in the heart of liverpool
Located in the heart of Liverpool, the refurbished facility spans the basement and ground floor of a four-storey steel and brickwork building. Despite the challenges posed by local authority restrictions and the building’s busy urban setting, DD Porter skillfully navigated logistical hurdles to deliver the project without disrupting the live hotel operations above.
The new medical facility boasts five consultation rooms, a reception and waiting area, backroom staff offices, and state-of-the-art MRI and X-ray suites equipped with the latest Siemens machinery. The project also included the installation of essential staff and patient amenities, such as changing facilities, a staff kitchen, and patient toilets.
Overcoming storage and space challenges
To get around space and logistical constraints, we had to think carefully and make considered delivery plan. The project team expertly managed the delivery and installation of the MRI and X-ray machines, involving the temporary removal of internal structures to accommodate the equipment. Following the installation, the areas were meticulously restored, ensuring the building’s integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Bespoke joinery
